NEW YORK—Fordham University is ushering in the holiday season with two performances of its Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 8 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan, and on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. at the University Church on the Rose Hill campus.
The annual concert will feature the Fordham University Choir, Fordham University Liturgical Choir, Fordham University Women’s Choir and the Bronx Arts Ensemble. Students from the Fordham/Ailey B.F.A. in dance program will perform at the Dec. 3 concert. No tickets are required for admission, but an early arrival is advised. The University Concert Band and Orchestra will perform a variety of classical and contemporary instrumental music on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Leonard Theatre on the Rose Hill campus. The free concert given by over ninety Fordham musicians will include works of Bach, Holst as well as “Sleigh Ride”, a Charlie Brown Christmas medley and a Christmas finale.
