Fordham University’s Westchester campus is closed and all classes cancelled as of 6 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012, due to a water main break off campus that left the facilities without water.

The town of Harrison advised Fordham about the break at 3 p.m. on Monday. The resulting loss of water to the Westchester campus, located at 400 Westchester Avenue in West Harrison, N.Y., required the University to close the campus for health and safety reasons. The University’s Safety and Security Department will remain on scene and monitor the progress of repairs to the water main. The University hopes to reopen Fordham Westchester on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.

The University apologizes for any inconvenience this closing may cause for our students, faculty, and staff at the Westchester campus. Safety and Security will remain at the Westchester campus and can be reached at (914) 367-3333.

This notice will be updated as necessary. Westchester faulty, students, and staff may also check the emergency phone line for updates: (877) 375-HELP [4357]
