Fordham will host a workshop for mental health professionals titled “Post-terrorism: Psychosocial & Spiritual Impact” on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 12:30 p.m. in room 518 of the Lowenstein Building at the Lincoln Center campus. The event, which will focus on the psychological impact of Sept. 11, is free and open to the public. The workshop will feature seminars on trauma and spirituality, caring for rescue workers and resources for survivors. The speakers will include medical doctors, psychologists specializing in trauma and a representative from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This workshop is part of “Transcending Tragedy: The Fordham University Lecture Series on Sept. 11 and its Aftermath.” The series is designed to encourage dialogue about the Sept. 11 attacks and the aftermath, and to explore the vast array of issues that will affect New York, the United States and the world. The series will explore various topics, including the economy, psychology, theology and law. The workshop will be hosted by the Fordham Psychological Association, Psi Chi and the Fordham Institute for Research, Service and Teaching. DATE: SATURDAY, NOV. 3 TIME: 12:30 P.M.
