DESCRIPTION:Volunteer to help the Pedro Arrupe Volunteers\, Strivehigher and Campus Ministry host the annual Field/Earth Day celebration for over 100 neighborhood children on Walsh Lawn. Everyone is invited to offer a fun activity\, craft\, or science experiment for the children. \nGeneral and Spanish-speaking volunteers are also needed to welcome the children from the neighborhood on campus. DESCRIPTION:The Center for Community Engaged Learning\, together with Fordham’s Laudato Si’ Sustainability Council\, will convene community stakeholders\, climate and environmental activists\, students\, and faculty in a half-day gathering to discuss the collective power of communities in taking a just\, transformative approach to climate action. \nThe summit will feature a panel and a keynote speaker alongside an action fair to connect summit participants with organizations leading environmental and climate justice work. All participants will leave with a guiding vision and tangible next steps to support this crucial work. \nAll are welcome! Please consider inviting others to take part in these conversations. Now is the time to engage our communities in the work of climate justice.
