Documentary Discussion: How to (Not) Poison a Planet

With behind the scenes access to the largest litigation involving drinking water in American history, the award-winning documentary How to Poison A Planet investigates how the use of a product as seemingly harmless as firefighting foam has resulted in the contamination of communities all over the world.
In this roundtable conversation featuring clips from the documentary, filmmaker Katrina McGowan joins litigator Gary Doulgas and environmental advocates to explore the legal fight, the environmental consequences, and the creative process — with the help of Mark Ruffalo — that brought it to the screen.
This story about one of the most widespread environmental disasters in history spans the globe from the heart of New York City to a small First Nations community in Australia.
