Join us for the 22nd Annual Rita Cassella Jones Lecture on Women and U.S. Catholicism, “Work Wisdom for an AI Age: Papal and Feminist Perspectives.”
Today’s rapidly advancing digital technologies, and the speed with which powerful forms of artificial intelligence are permeating multiple spheres of life, raise a dizzying array of philosophical, ethical, and spiritual concerns. Two rich wells of wisdom can help us better frame, evaluate, and respond to these questions and challenges: the modern Catholic social tradition represented by Pope Leo XIV’s 2026 encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, and feminist ethics and economics. These have much to offer those of us seeking to navigate the formidable technological and social currents and cross-currents that buffet us today.
