Justin M. Bell, UNIVERSITY MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS, vice president, and Toni Marie Perilli, CAREER SERVICES, marketing and communications specialist, were honored at the 2025 AMA (American Marketing Association) Symposium, held in Maryland from Nov. 10 to 13.

Bell was one of three finalists for the 2025 AMA Foundation Higher Education Marketer of the Year Award, which recognizes extraordinary leadership and celebrates innovation and achievement in higher education marketing.

Perilli was one of three finalists for the 2025 Emerging Marketer in Higher Education Award, which recognizes an individual with 10 years or less experience in their higher education marketing career who has shown exceptional creativity and innovation in the field during the past academic year.

Stephen Holler, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of physics and engineering physics, attended the Optica Laser Congress in Prague last month, where he gave a presentation titled “FRESH Air: Hyperlocal Urban Pollution Monitoring— Insights and Implications.” FRESH Air (Fordham Regional Environmental Sensor for Healthy Air) is a project developed to bring together the Fordham and Bronx communities to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change.
